Brian grew up in Sacramento, CA and now lives in Belmont with his wife, two children, and cat. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Biology from Duke University, a Doctorate in Medicine from Northwestern University, completed a transitional internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, and a residency in Anesthesiology at the University of California, San Diego. He spent 14 years practicing anesthesia as a board-certified anesthesiologist, but a keen interest in the science of sleep led him to a fellowship in Sleep Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is delighted to join Redwood Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Associates/Somnology Medical Group as a Sleep Medicine Physician. He firmly believes that sleep is foundational to good health and is passionate about improving the sleep of his patients from all walks of life. His hobbies include numismatics, racquetball, scuba diving, and playing catch with his kids.
